Kates experience as a professional dancer, Gyrotonic practitioner and rehabilitator at Scottish Ballet have given her skills to form a new kind of ballet barre, she forms the class on strong basics of technique but importantly physicality which is original to each of us. She has created a method of teaching which allows every type of physicality to enjoy the benefits of ballet in a safe, enjoyable and innovative way. She will take you back to the basics of technique as she does with professional dancers and teach you the correct engagement of muscles to create the movements and movement patterns you require in ballet. She has many imaginative ways to encourage you to delve deeper into your understanding of ballet and how the body works. Classes are kept small so that you can have a personal experience with corrections specifically for you.
