Hire our venue

The Movement Studio is a privately run affair by Finlay and Kate Menzies. All teachers and therapists at the practice are however self-employed and run their own "schools" and practises from the premises. If you are a teacher who wants to run a class or workshop or a therapist who wants to offer services to the public then you have come to an ideal venue.

The studio is ideally placed in the heart of the West End at the corner of Ashton Lane and Byres road. Transport links are fantastic with Subway mere metres away. Great bus links aplenty too. Contrary to popular belief - parking is easy with 3 car parks less than a minutes walk from the studio.

There is a comfortable waiting area with back and foot massagers and a water fountain.

We offer good promotion to our teachers. We have a lively Facebook page, postering within the studio and 2 illuminated advertising boards outside. We also have a large email database which we can use to promote your services. We utilise an online booking system which can be setup to take bookings for your class or service.

We have 4 rooms. 2 treatment rooms - which are fully equiped with treatment tables, desk chair, pillows etc. A main studio for classes. We also have a Gyrotonic suite (which for qualified Gyrotonic teachers) can be rented too. Our main studio is for classes and is equipped with exercise mats, blosters, blocks, stools etc. If we don't have what you want let us know and we may well be able to accomodate you. The main studio also has a ballet barre.

If you interested in renting our space then please get in touch.

At my age in gives me no end of pleasure to know that in so many ways I am gaining mobility that I have not had for years – even before my operation. My visits are the highlight of my week and I would recommend anyone who want to improve their mobility – whether as a rehabilitative practice or to improve athletic ability to give them a visit.
